Welcome to our homepage and thanks for visiting! In
the century since our founding, Fr. Bally Council #1192 of the Knights
of Columbus has wanted to assist the members of our parishes and
communities through charity, fellowship, service and remain faithful
to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
From humble beginnings in St.
Aloysius Church and a variety of meeting locations, we’ve grown to
have 350 members; an active
Social Club and
Ladies' Auxiliary; and our
own Council home and picnic grove.
In keeping with our founders’ vision,
the Council’s focus for 2009-10 is Church and membership. Our projects
and activities for these years seek to strengthen the relationships with
our local parishes and within our organization. In fact, we’re named
after a prominent Belgian missionary priest, Fr. Augustus Bally, S.J.,
who ministered to Catholic faithful and all people of this region over
170 years ago.
If
you’re new to the area and a member of a Catholic church in Birdsboro,
Boyertown, Douglassville, Pottstown or Stowe, we invite you to become
part of the Fr. Bally Council family. We offer many ways to have fun;
meet new friends; and help others. Become a part of our wonderful
tradition! Contact Us and let us know
of your interest. If you’re already a member and would like to offer comments
and suggestions about this website or want to provide material or
photographs for the Bally Beacon, our quarterly newsletter, we’d also
appreciate hearing from you as well.
